How to play
Goal of the game
Keep making room on the 5 × 5 board and collect as many points as possible. Dice arrive individually or as a pair. Plan their positions before placing them.
Place and rotate dice
Drag the next die or pair from the tray onto empty cells. The round rotate button beside the tray, or the R key, turns a pair clockwise: horizontal, vertical and back again. The face values stay the same. A drop that does not fit returns to the tray. Placed dice stay in position.
Keyboard controls
Use the arrow keys to select a cell and Enter to place the next dice. Press R to rotate a pair before placing it.
Clear matching dice
In the default Straight rows mode, at least three identical face values must touch in one horizontal or vertical row. They pop and free their cells. Diagonal matches and L shapes do not clear in this mode. At a cross, each physical die is removed once.
Points and longer matches
Three matching dice score three times their face value. Each additional cleared die of that value doubles the score. For example: three fives give 15 points, four fives 30 and five fives 60. When several values clear at once, their scores are added.
The golden joker
A joker stands for every face value that makes a valid match. It is used automatically as soon as it helps clear dice. If it completes rows of threes and fives at the same time, it counts in both scores, although its cell is cleared only once. A matching row made entirely of jokers scores as sixes.
Matching options
In Settings you can choose Straight rows or Connected groups. Connected groups allows three or more equal dice to clear in L shapes and other groups joined horizontally or vertically. Changing the matching rule asks for confirmation and starts a new round.
Time and end of the round
Time is measured without a countdown or a time limit. It is hidden by default and can be shown in Settings. The round ends only when the next die or pair cannot fit anywhere, even after rotation.
Game progress and results
During play you see points and moves. The result also shows elapsed time and the number of popped dice. Dice Bloom does not yet save rounds or results to your account; the current round is lost when you reload the page. Sound, matching and display preferences remain saved on this device.
