Triangle Duel

Watch the rubber band

A finger stretches four posts, then closes and claims a triangle. Your match is restored when the demo ends.

Close the smallest triangles

Stretch one rubber band across exactly four consecutive posts in a straight line. It covers three neighboring edges and must add at least one new edge. Bands may reuse edges and meet or cross at posts. All lines are shared by every player.

Only the 54 smallest triangular cells count. When your band completes three closed sides, that triangle receives your color and one point. Several triangles can be claimed in one turn; larger composite triangles do not score again. Claimed cells stay with their owner. Turns always alternate, including after scoring.

This full-board variant ends when every triangle is claimed or no band can add a new edge. The highest score wins; equal top scores are a draw. There is no time limit.

Stretch or tap twice

Drag from the first post to the fourth post on a straight line. The preview shows the four posts before you release. Alternatively tap the first and fourth posts in turn. Tap the start again or press Escape to cancel. Keyboard: Tab to a post, arrow keys to move between posts, Enter to select.

Think one band ahead

Look for cells with two sides already drawn. One band can close several of them, but may also give the next player a profitable reply. Choose Show a possible band and OK for a suggestion. Undo turn returns to your previous decision, including computer replies. A completed match can be replayed without changing its score.

Choose your opponents

Select two, three or four players. Assign each color to a person at this device or to a computer, choose the starting color and set the computer strength. Applying a different match setup asks before replacing a played board.

About Triangle Duel

Titanium, tension and territory

Pearl-colored rubber bands stretch between metal posts on a dark hexagonal board. Every closed small triangle becomes a jewel-colored territory. Watch the shared lines: a band placed by someone else can become your opportunity.

Four posts, one decision

One band connects four consecutive posts in a straight line. Complete one triangle or several at once, without leaving your opponent an easy finish. The 37-post board offers 54 triangles to claim.

Share the board

Play with two to four colors. Every seat can be controlled by a person on the same device or by the computer. Choose its strength, follow the finger demonstration and replay the finished match at your own pace.
